LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NYC

You’re at the airport. You just checked in and passed the security. What’s next? WAITING. And we all know, we probably have to wait approximately 45 minutes, but it feels like years...La Guardia airport in New York knows that feeling and came with a solution: iPads.

SARISTA

Senseo, it’s probably the most common coffee system in Holland. the ‘pad’ system makes it all easy, but the taste...mwah, could be better. So Douwe Egberts and Philips (the innovators) created a new concept. The Senseo Sarista.

WISHLIST, NOVEMBER 5TH

0
COM

1. Red/blue plaid shirt - Mango
This plaid shirt would go nice with a classic pair of skinny jeans and ankle boots for that cowgirl style with a modern touch. I especially like this one as the colours are contrasting which gives a nice effect, and the embellishments on the collar and pocket give a finishing touch.

2. Alexander McQueen: The life and the legacy - Judith Watt
I wouldn't consider myself as a fan, but I adore his creations (ok, except for the armadillo shoes which look ridiculously painful). This book, written by Judith Watt, reveals the truth about mr. McQueen's history and how he changed the fashion world by reinventing modern fashion. I already see myself reading this on the couch, with a cup of tea (and maybe wearing one of his items? Yes I keep dreaming haha!)

3. Tapestry printed boyfriend blazer - River Island
At first sight his blazer looks like it's from your grandma's closet, but when I saw Lily Melrose wearing it, I was sold!

4. Ciaté mini mani month advent calendar
Everyone who knows me, eventhough it's just a little, knows I love nail art. So this advent calendar from Ciaté is definitely a musthave for me! A new nailpolish everyday, which girl doesn't like that?!

5. Black loose fitted cardigan - Dorothy Perkins
Going towards winter, I'd like a few thick loose fitted cardigans with a bit slouchy look. They're warm, they're big, they're cute. That's all I need. And a black one goes perfect with pretty much your whole closet.

FISH-I-PHONE

While the photography industry is increasing and developing even better cameras with even more modern functions than we could ever think of, people would also like to go back to basics. Just look at Instagram, inspired by the Polaroid camera, or the upcoming lomography industry, with their populair analogue cameras like the Fisheye camera, the Diana F+, the La Sardina? People want the old fashioned look, but in a modern way. So this is what they came up with: A magnetic fisheye lens for the iPhone!

"SUNSCREEN WOULD BE IT"

Yesterday, our teacher showed us this video, a song, which is more of a speech, written by Baz Luhrmann. Luhrmann talks about life, and gives you advice how to live it. All those things he said are (as far as I know) true, that makes it really inspirational.
At first it seems to be quite boring, but don't stop reading/listening! No seriously, it's beautiful.
It made me think about life, especially the good moments, so I posted it here as you really should see this!

HUNT FOR THE COOLNESS

3
COM

As I told you before, I'm studying International Lifestyle now. For me it's quite a big step, as I have to travel a little 2 hours for that (In Holland that's pretty far as it's such a small country!). Last week me and my fellow students were introduced to Coolhunting. "What, coolhunting?!" It's basically go out and photograph cool things, but there's way more behind it. The 'cool thing' you spot should make you think, and besides that it should have growing potential... it's actually way harder than you think.

So I'm studying in Tilburg, which is such a different city than Rotterdam (where I come from). What Really catches my eye are the buildings. They still have those older buildings, mixed with some modern buildings. I'm used to only modern buildings as there are no old buildings to see in Rotterdam. Because of that, both cities have a totally different vibe. Tilburg is warm and cozy, while Rotterdam is really busy and in a rush.

REFRESHING

COM

I've been away for quite a long time, three months I guess, maybe even four! Exams (which I passed!), two vacations and a lot of fun in the summer holidays made me stay offline for a while. But now I'm back with a lot of inspiration and ideas!

I'm studying International Lifestyle now, just started this week. I'm really excited about it, as this is something I really want! I already met a lot of great people, and I'm sure I'll be having a good time in the upcoming four years. I'll keep you guys up to date with what and how I'm doing at school, as I must post some projects on my blog, which has benefits for you too! That means more updates and a bigger variety of posts!

As I made a fresh start with my new education, I also want to change the looks of TRD. I've already done the header, which you may have seen, but I'm still thinking about the rest of the layout... Ideas are always welcome ofcourse!

I hope you'll enjoy the new start of TRD, and keep checking it out!

001.   Just a quick and short update from the homebase. If you stop by here often you know I was busy with exams, finished it this week, that explains the lack of posts. I didn't really have anything interesting to tell, also no interesting outfits to show (they were all easy, comfi, boring haha)

002.   As you could already guess by seeing the picture above, I'm packing my suitcase! Told you a while ago I'm going to Albufeira, Portugal for a week with the girls. We're flying at 5 am tomorrow, which means we have to leave the house at 1:30 am...quite early, I know. But I'm so excited! I really need this short vacation after all that studying, and I feel like I deserved it!

003.   So, a week to Portugal means another week no posts...sorry guys! I promise you to show you some of the vacation pics!

xoxo

My order from upperleft to bottomright: Nail polish Mango Madness, Nailpolish Teal Blue, Lipstick Sociable, Conditioning lipbalm vanilla, Transparent eyebrow/lashes gel, Natural radiance blush in Glow, High defenition powder, Eye crease brush, Fan brush, Eyeshadow brush, Stipple brush

So last week me and 2 friends ordered a bunch of makeup(tools) at eyeslipsface.com, in our case '.nl'. Everything is just 1 euro (except for the studio line and mineral line), reaaally attractive, but also a hit and miss. Received my order yesterday, so my friends came over to see and get their stuff and be really excited about it haha. But we were not the only ones excited about all this stuff. My cute fat cat came over and thought it was fun rolling in our makeup and acting like it's its daily routine.

Btw: My layout has gone wild, and Blogger won't let me fix it...my apologies for having my blog looking this ugly!

xoxo
